\When out-of-network providers and health plans can’t agree on payment, the No Surprises Act’s Federal Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) process steps in. A certified IDR entity reviews the evidence and issues a binding payment determination.

This is 1099, per-dispute, fully remote work. No minimum caseload. No billable hours. Just meaningful, high-impact adjudication you can fit around your practice, or your other commitments.

• Conduct an impartial review of payment offers and supporting documentation from both disputing parties
• Apply the No Surprises Act, Federal IDR regulations, and required statutory factors, including consideration of the Qualified Payment Amount (QPA) and other permissible information.
• Screen for conflicts of interest on each assigned dispute
• Author clear, defensible written determinations within federally mandated timeframes

What we’re looking for:

• J.D. from an accredited law school; active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state.
• Experience in health law, ERISA, insurance/payer litigation, administrative law, or arbitration
• Familiarity with the No Surprises Act— a plus, not a requirement
• Willingness to complete training consistent with federal IDRE requirements
